to use mods, you always need to add them to the user data folder. by default, the game creates this in local Documents, or you might find an Electronic Arts folder in the OneDrive equivalent if you're using that to sync.

The only thing remaining from 2024 is a singular house I built and uploaded to the Gallery last week (but not the save file that I built it in).
