21 lip 2009 · Well, if you copied the Data file that was in it, and copied it into the oblivion directory, you should have been fine. You can use 7-zip, or do it manually, which ever you choose. Manual might be easy in this case. Copy The Music/Textures/Meshes and copy them in the data file. Play the game, and it should work.
Firstly, with Wryebash and Oblivion Mod Manager and the like, you will not need to personally mess with the data folder. These programs will add and remove files from the data folder by activating and deactivating the mods.
27 lip 2023 · I've tried installing this with NMM and it drops the files into the data folder instead of the directory. So either install with the MM and move the files yourself again or just download it manually and unzip into the directory where it is supposed to go.
Oblivion's shared data files, including: mod data files, BSA archives, separate resource files (meshes, textures, etc.) English Default: Install Directory \Data. Location determined by SLocalMasterPath in Oblivion.ini, which is "Data\" by default.
The Data folder is the directory to which mods are installed. After installing Oblivion, you will find in here a few BSAs containing most of the game's resources (i.e., meshes, textures and sound files) as well as some of the default folders: Shaders, Music and Video.
20 lis 2018 · Depending on which mod you are unzipping, it should have an .esp file (looks like a swiss army knife), a "Meshes" folder, a "Textures" folder, and lastly a README file. Sometimes mods will have all their files placed into mock directory folders, like so: Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\.
When running installers (executables) to be packed into an archive, when possible, have the installer install the files to a temporary folder, a folder other than the Oblivion Data folder. It is easier to identify the files that need to be repackaged that way.
