Firstly, with Wryebash and Oblivion Mod Manager and the like, you will not need to personally mess with the data folder. These programs will add and remove files from the data folder by activating and deactivating the mods.
Played it earlier today under WINE, actually. My Macbook's a few years old at this point so setting it up will probably be different for you. Check out Oblivion's WineHQ page or maybe r/macgaming if you need help. The GOG version is ideal for this. Use OblivionLauncher.exe to open the game, not Oblivion.exe.
You have to extract them im most cases, there will be the tree folder stricture that goes into your data folder. You should really use a mod manager tho.
20 lis 2018 · It is a good idea to erase the existing Oblivion\data folder before restoring, as that way you will be sure to have gotten rid of the problem that caused you to restore. Over time, you will add and remove mods to the data folder.
