19 lut 2015 · It will be easier and faster if you just copy your Oblivion folder from your "My Games" folder ("C:\Users\<user>\Documents\My Games\Oblivion"). That one has your saves and configuration files, or maybe just the "Saves" folder inside the "Oblivion" folder if you want to backup only your save files.
I was thinking that the easiest way would be to cloud share the save files location, but Dropbox for example doesn't allow that. What I can do is simply upload/download the folder every time I switch PC, but I'd like to avoid that.
17 wrz 2012 · You can simply move the contents of the archive ("meshes", "textures", esp files) from your extraction folder into your "Data", folder when there's no "Data" folder needlessly wrapped around them. OBMM can decipher those package structures and locates the actual files and folders inside such a bogus "Data" folder.
23 cze 2017 · copy all files in the active profile folder to the original savegame folder. Your saves from before using OSGM still exist in the original 'standard' saves folder. switch your profile to STANDARD.
Firstly, with Wryebash and Oblivion Mod Manager and the like, you will not need to personally mess with the data folder. These programs will add and remove files from the data folder by activating and deactivating the mods.
When you install Steam on the new PC, install Oblivion from there, then just copy over the Oblivion folder you backed up to the new installation, replacing any files and adding the modded ones.
20 lis 2018 · To restore the data – always copy, never move the \data folder back into the Oblivion folder. It is a good idea to erase the existing Oblivion\data folder before restoring, as that way you will be sure to have gotten rid of the problem that caused you to restore.
