23 cze 2013 · I have recently bought Oblivion GOTY from steam but I couldn't find the data folder when i tried to install mods. There is no data folder in my program files or in my steam files. The game is installed and works perfectly.
If you used Steam delete your data folder and tell it to check the integrity of local files. It will download all the files the game is missing.
19 gru 2023 · To completely clear away the game and remove anything that a normal uninstall leaves behind (like mods and files for them), delete the Oblivion folder entirely. THEN you'll want to delete the folder under "my games," in My Documents, at least you'll want to delete everything except for your saves.
If nothing else, try deleting the Oblivion.ini (it should be in my documents\my games\oblivion, IIRC). Make sure you don't touch the Oblivion_default.ini, since that's what the game uses to build the ini in the first place.
If you want, you could move the Data folder to a temporary location. Then run the Setup from the disc and see if Oblivion auto-repairs. If it repairs itself, it will make a new Data folder...
20 lis 2018 · Now that you've found the problem mod, all you have to do is disable it by unchecking the .esp file in your Data Files selector (and/or you can delete the .esp file itself if you're really mad by now).
31 gru 2021 · Firstly, with Wryebash and Oblivion Mod Manager and the like, you will not need to personally mess with the data folder. These programs will add and remove files from the data folder by activating and deactivating the mods.
