23 cze 2013 · I have recently bought Oblivion GOTY from steam but I couldn't find the data folder when i tried to install mods. There is no data folder in my program files or in my steam files. The game is installed and works perfectly.
20 lis 2018 · Manual Installation: Download and install 7zip. Once you have downloaded the mod, open the archive (.7z, .zip or .rar) with 7zip, and click extract. Extract the files so that the files (esp, bsa, etc.) and the folders (meshes, textures, sounds, etc.) are in the Oblivion data folder (\Games\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data).
Whereas if you manually install mods (dragging them to your data folder, replacing textures etc) you essentially are stuck with those mods unless you make backups of the to-be-altered files, and reimport those if you wish to deactivate it -- a.k.a. it's a mess, use the mod managers.

29 sty 2011 · My only advice at the moment would be to compleetely uninstall oblivion, restart your computer, re-install it and that should take care of the missing files issue. You might want to also look through the thread below.
5 gru 2022 · Try verifying your Oblivion installation (Oblivion library entry -> right click -> Properties -> Local Files, then select "Verify". When the verification and re-acquisition process of missing files is complete, please check the Oblivion\Data folder again. If your Oblivion\Data contains all these files, launch Oblivion.
10 wrz 2007 · Your Data folder isn't actually missing, it's just not in My Documents. It's in the Bethesda Softworks folder in Program Files.
