When the verification and re-acquisition process of missing files is complete, please check the Oblivion\Data folder again. If your Oblivion\Data contains all these files, launch Oblivion.
4 kwi 2010 · Set-up: Win7 x64, Fresh install, several mods, BOSS in data folder, Oblivion not installed in Program files, UAC turned off, manually set full access to all related folders, have tried reinstall of BOSS, runtime libraries.
The game is able to launch just fine after doing this, but the problem is now it can't find the Data folder: when I go into the launcher menu and click data files it gives me an error that says "unable to find any data files" and suggests reinstalling the game outright.
CTD on Startup usually indicates a missing master or a bad Oblivion.ini setting. Whenever troubleshooting crashes, try regenerating a fresh Oblivion.ini. Reinstalling Oblivion will not overwrite an existing Oblivion.ini, so clear it out along with the My Games\Oblivion folder for a clean sweep.
3 gru 2023 · When the game loads, it first checks the data folder for meshes and textures and loads them, if a file for a mesh or texture is not found in the data folder, then it's default file located within a .bsa is loaded instead.
20 lis 2018 · If you don't use OBMM or BSA Patcher for some reason, then the only way to convince Oblivion to load problem textures from the individual folders rather than from the .bsa files is to specifically force it to do this by creating a special file called (you guessed it) "ArchiveInvalidation.txt".
The most likely reason for your crash is that you didn't install the OBSE in the correct place. The downloaded obse_0021.zip file should be uncompressed into the "\Oblivion" root folder. Make sure "obse_steam_loader.dll" and "obse_1_2_416.dll" are in the root Oblivion fodler (the same place as Oblivion.exe).
