When it doesn't, the thing it's most likely to do is lose track of files - meshes, for instance. Use OBMM or Wrye Bash instead. They're both made specifically to work with Oblivion and they do work with Oblivion, all the time and with no problems (other than user error).
I fixed it by going into the world files, deleting LEVEL.DAT (Lastest save), and renaming LEVEL.DAT_OLD (2nd latest save) to LEVEL.DAT so it will be seen as the current save and load that. But don't do this.
8 maj 2011 · If not, there is a problem with the way you are installing the meshes. Try it this way; open your Oblivion folder (first sub-folder should be "Data") in one window, and a mod that you are missing meshes for in another window (make sure you have extracted using 7zip).
29 sie 2020 · If you do not see the pack.mcmeta file, check inside the data folder by clicking on that folder to display the contents. If the pack.mcmeta is inside a folder, it means it was not packaged correctly. You will need to unzip the file, move the pack.mcmeta outside the folder and then re-zip the file.
27 kwi 2022 · I've tried moving my current Oblivion mod setup to my new Steam Deck, and I did so by copying the files from my desktop Data folder to the Data folder on my Deck's /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Oblivion directory.
