Open the Cheat Console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C and type "testingcheats true" and hit enter. This should activate the "Shift+ Click" cheats in the game, if it isn't already activated for you. Hold Shift and click on the object you want to duplicate. Click on the "Set As Head" option.
