General Question. I know folks here probably get tired of these posts, but I have a letter showing in Informed Delivery from Austin, Tx in a rather plain envelope. Just says Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, and Austin, Tx 73301-1503.
Nobody can tell what an IRS letter is for simply by a picture of an envelope. The Austin, TX campus handles multiple dozens of different things, each with multiple letters that could go out. There are literally hundreds of different things it could be. The only way to know is to open it and read it.
12 lip 2020 · The letter concerned a prior-year income tax change in the amount of $325.00. It contained the IRS logo in the upper left addressed from the “Austin Processing Center,” and a quick search confirmed that Internal Revenue does run a legitimate payment processing center in Austin, Texas.
Letter from Internal Revenue Service, Austin, TX. 73301-0003. General Question. In USPS informed delivery email I see that I got this mail from IRS, I am currently some distance from home so can't check the mail, but did a search on the address and found out that it's probably from Trump/WH and it's about the stimulus check from awhile ago.
