10 maj 2020 · How To Check the Status of Michigan Unemployment Claim. You can check the status of your claim in your MiWAM account. From your My Account tab you can see the type of claim you have; regular Unemployment Insurance (UI), Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), or Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC).
In addition to reviewing your application, UIA reviews your wages and your unemployment circumstances to understand what happened and see if you meet the requirements for benefits. If you haven't heard from UIA after 5 days, check MiWAM or call 1-866-500-0017.
Checking on Your Application. You can check the status of your claim online or by calling 1-866-500-0017 8:00 am – 4:30 pm on weekdays. After You Apply. After you apply for unemployment, the UIA will decide if you are eligible and if you qualify for benefits. The UIA will mail you a determination.
