The Real Estate Transfer Tax (RETT) was enacted in 1967. The tax is imposed on both the buyer and the seller at the rate of $.75 per $100 of the price or consideration for the sale, granting, or transfer.
22 maj 2019 · The Real Estate Transfer Tax is imposed on both the buyer and seller of a piece of real property (land) located in New Hampshire. The tax also applies to the sale of buildings, easements, rights-of-way and interests in time-share properties.
The New Hampshire real estate transfer tax (NH RSA 78-B) – a tax on the transfer of New Hampshire real estate – is $0.75 per $100 of the full price of or consideration for the real estate for the purchaser and the seller (meaning half of the total tax is paid by the purchaser and half by the seller).

It then defines “sale, granting and transfer” as every “contractual transfer” of an interest in real estate, which as stated above, is in turn defined as a “bargained-for exchange.”
