5 paź 2024 · I'm patching my wads with wwpacker 1.84, and depending on what I do (just region free, smart video patch NTSC=>pal, brute video patching on PAL 480i,...), I get three types of results: - Not working, black screen.
It is very easy to play any region Wii games with Gecko. I use it to play Japanese games on my NTSC U/C Wii. If you need more information, watch this video. The only thing I would tell your cousin is to be careful installing WADs. I hear that out of region WADs can brick a Wii.
Got a shiny new RGB cable from a reputable outlet, I have NTSC-U wads of a few VC games which worked fine on composite, but with the RGB cable they are running slow and stuttery. If I enable force NTSC in USBLGX I get a red filter over the gameplay although speed and everything seems to be correct. Force PAL60 or PAL50 doesn't work.
I've ran into this exact issue before. I'm pretty sure it's possible to patch the RVL-AVE setup to enable RGB in NTSC modes, it's just that no one bothered figuring this out because most NTSC-only games work with just forcing PAL60. Running NTSC N64 VC on RGB is kinda niche, as it were.
Yes, you just need to install the VC titles (.wad files) using a Wad installer homebrew app. The main thing to be careful about when installing wads is that there is enough room left for them in the Wii's internal memory. Your saves can also be transferred, most are not protected.
The ROM video standard must match that of the Virtual Console channel (e.g. NTSC ROMs should be injected into NTSC/PAL60 channels). Using a wrong region match may lead to the game being region-locked, unable to start or running at a different speed/resolution.
18 gru 2020 · Hello, I would like to install a wad file on my wii. The file region is ntsc and the console region is pal. I haven't modded the console myself so I have little to none experience in modding the wii.
