Most TVs you get now have both PAL and NTSC in them. I bought my tv from the US 3 years ago and I did have to buy the voltage step down transformer. But I did not face any issues with the signal format. All DTH operators beam both PAL and NTSC. I use Airtel DTH and do not need any PAL/NTSC converters
If you do photo or video editing work then it is better to go with 100% sRGB screen. The 45% NTSC screen is equivalent to around 65% sRGB with 250 Nits of brightness which is okay for gaming and browsing purposes.
