30 wrz 2019 · After a recent update, notepad app lost its icon: it is not displayed in the corner of the window: in the taskbar: in the file system and basically everywhere (the screenshot below is for C:\Windows )
Select the file type/extension you want to edit from the top pane: Next edit the selected file type (via right-click/context menu or F2) and ensure the Default Icon field is set to properly point to Notepad++'s executable (or whichever file contains the icons; perhaps a .DLL):
11 sie 2022 · If Notepad is installed on the computer, it would be available here → C:\Windows\System32\Notepad.exe. If Notepad is missing on the computer, you can install it via Start, Settings, Apps, and click Optional features.
11 cze 2019 · I noticed that after the update to windows 10 pro 64bit to version 1903 that the Notepad.exe shortcut I had on my desktop had no icon. when I double click it... Notepad does indeed run.
25 lip 2024 · after updating to 8.6.9, all my toolbar icons are disappeared. Tried to reinstall Notepad++, but the icons are still gone. Any ideas?
28 maj 2023 · Then about 6-8 weeks ago, all icons except Alexa appeared on again the taskbar, until today, now the Notepad icon has disappeared again. This must be a specific problem because people with it are experiencing it on the SAME apps, not random apps.
9 cze 2022 · There are two ways to customize the toolbar. The first (with a much longer history) as you were told, is to use the CustomizeToolbar plugin. It comes with instructions on how to replace the icons for actions on the toolbar. The second is a built-in method new to Notepad++ v8.4.2.
