Wood/Box suggestions for DIY noisebox. I've wanted to build a noisebox/apprehension engine of my own for quite a while (something along these lines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_NqX_Bvfxs ). Nothing too complex -- wood box, springs, strings, and a few other bits and bobs. What I can't figure out is the best kind of box to use.
But I still don't know exactly what box to get for it. What kind of experience have you had with different material? For example, do wooden boxes tend to generate less feedback quickly than boxes made of metal? Or do you have any good tips on how to build something like this?
