NOAA Marine Environmental Buoy Database. As part of a data modernization effort, the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) has updated the archival data file format of their Coastal-Marine Automated Network (C-MAN) stations and moored (weather) buoys to netCDF.
The NDBC compiles coastal and offshore weather observations from NOAA fixed and drifting data buoys and C-MAN stations. Moored buoys are deployed in all U.S. coastal and offshore waters, from the western Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean around Hawaii, and from the Bering Sea to the South Pacific.
The National Data Buoy Center's Observation Search page. It generates a list of ship, buoy, and C-MAN observations for a specific area and time period. Area can be selected by point-radius.
The World Ocean Database (WOD) is world's largest collection of uniformly formatted, quality controlled, publicly available ocean profile data. It is a powerful tool for oceanographic, climatic, and environmental research, and the end result of more than 20 years of coordinated efforts to incorporate data from institutions, agencies, individual ...
