I've been out of the Dave Ramsey loop for a while (but still largely following his advice), and was surprised today when I tried to find the show on a podcast app to see nothing with him in it. Does he still do the show? Is he retired? Or on sabbatical or something? Is it only other people?
Dave's advice makes some sense if you consider when he developed his ideas...the early 90s. The economic conditions of the 80s and early 90s are lightyears away from today. When Dave went broke home mortgages were in the 10-12% range, down from a high of 18% earlier in the decade. In that world it makes a lot of sense to pay off a mortgage ASAP.
This might just be me, but has anyone else started having issues listening to The Ramsey Show when Dave is hosting? I’m not sure if it’s a sign of him being worn out or even ratings (maybe a combination of the two)… but I feel like every call he answers as of late he’s immediately snappy at the caller and doesn’t seem to actually give ...
