3 mar 2018 · The code could be because the ecu isn't getting a signal, or a weak signal, from the sensor. Could be a bad ground, mouse chewed a wire etc. In that case it doesn't matter what you plug in there, it won't work. Since two new sensors plugged in there didn't fix the code the wiring may be the problem.
The automobile fault code p1140 can be caused by a faulty intake valve timing control solenoid valve, open or shorted harness, poor electrical connection, faulty crankshaft position sensor, or faulty camshaft position sensor.
24 wrz 2010 · I took it to a shop, and the error code was P1140. After consulting the factory manual, it appears that the "Intake valve timing control position sensor" or "Intake valve timing control position solenoid" needs to be replaced.
7 lut 2015 · I have a 2002 qx4 with a consistent P1140 code. The code pops up as soon as the engine is on, and no sooner do I clear it then it comes right back up again. I have extensive wiring tech background and have even pulled the engine harness and gone through it extensively.
