Widow’s/Widower’s Benefit - payable to the spouse of a deceased NIS contributor or pensioner. This benefit does not begin automatically, there are a few steps that must be taken first including applying for the benefit and submitting proof of death (a death certificate).
The Funeral Grant provides financial assistance for the burial expenses of the deceased. It is paid on the death of an insured person, invalidity, or age pensioner, or his/ or her spouse or a dependent child.
