7 gru 2023 · Z5 Nikon with a FTZ II Adaptor. I have a AF P Nikkor 18-55 ,AF P Nikkor 70-300, Sigma 600 Telephoto. My Camera does not seem to be auto focusing with the adaptor. I'm not sure if it's the adaptor of if the lenses aren't working. Trying to trouble shoot it.
25 wrz 2019 · My FTZ is now going back to Nikon for repair. I have no Tamron lens, but I have mounted my Sigma 35mm/f1.4 Art on my FTZ and Z6 without any issues. Apparently it is the older AF-S lenses such as that 28-70mm/f2.8 and 80-200mm/f2.8 that may cause problems.
21 gru 2021 · I could understand the reason Canon abandoned the FD mount - such an ill conceived and bad lens mount, whereas Nikon F mount evolved seamlessly from fully mechanical to fully electronic - from manual focus to autofocus - mechanically compatible to the earliest Nikon SLR body, and now with the new Z mount, F lens can be used via a simple FTZ ...
Do you have the lens set to Full Range or a limited range? Camera not focusing. Do you have the switch on the lens set to M (manual focus)? Lens doesn't seem to work correctly. You might have accidentally pressed the Lens Release button and slightly twisted the lens. You'll know for sure when the lens falls off the camera ;~).
Suffice it to say that Nikon DSLR AF-I, AF-S, and AF-P autofocus lenses mounted on an FTZ adapter pretty much keep their performance characteristics on the Z5. What's missing on the Z5 from autofocus are some of the traditional Nikon DSLR Autofocus Area Modes in AF-C and the ability to switch Autofocus Area Modes quickly.
