  1. 1 kwi 2019 · Interesting symptom. I'd try the suggestion of cleaning the lens / camera contacts. Easy to do and can't hurt. I've had my 200-500 since they came out (preordered), and I've had maybe two times where VR doesn't seem to have worked.

  2. 12 mar 2023 · When the shutter on the Z 9 is pressed, the focus point in the viewfinder jumps to the left, and the result is a blurry shot. I noticed that the jump looks greater at higher focal lengths. The focus seems to work (no jumping focus point) when the lens VR is turned off.

It had a squeaking sound for a few minutes and then I noticed that when using single point focus the focus dot would jump when taking a picture. I turned off the VR and both symptoms stopped.

  4. It takes great pictures, but one thing I noticed immediately is that it makes a buzzing or humming noise when focusing. The noise is definitely related to Vibration Reduction - if I turn off VR using the switch on the lens, the noise stops immediately.

  6. 8 sie 2020 · The best thing to do here is to find a shutter speed when you can get a certain % of shots perfectly still with VR on (like 80% for example) and then compare with the % you get with VR off and try to find what shutter speed you would need for the same % with the VR off.
