16 lut 2024 · I went into my Mac's "System Report," scrolled down to the "Software>RAW support" section and clicked on it. I then scrolled down to the "Nikon" section, and lo and behold, for the first time since the Nikon Z8 camera came out in May of last year, IT WAS LISTED AS A SUPPORTED CAMERA!

Please make sure you have the downloaded firmware file on your computer. • Z_8_0201.bin (the camera firmware) Using a card reader, copy “Z_8_0201.bin” to a memory card that has been formatted in the camera.
8 mar 2019 · Before Steve died, there was a standalone Apple Digital Camera Raw updater you could run to get new raw file support on any system. They now force you into the next OS for support of new raw files. YOU NEED AN OS UPGRADE (and possibly new computer) TO SUPPORT AN UPDATE TO A RAW FILE!?

Mac does not currently support Raw files from the Z8 and Apple has not announced any plans to add it in an update. Super frustrating. Workaround - you can still preview all of your photos in Lightroom or topaz or some other software.
