21 gru 2016 · If your computer does not open a NEF (RAW) file from your camera then you do not have a software application installed that can read that file type. You can open NEF files on a Windows computer using the Nikon codec without any additional photo editing software.
29 gru 2022 · Since yesterday Nikon NX Studio refuses to show any Nikon raw (NEF) files as soon as a single adjustment has been made (eg exposure, white balance, etc). The message displayed in the main image window is "Failed to load images".
RAW (.NEF/.NRW) format images captured with a Nikon digital camera, JPEG and TIFF images supported. An Internet connection is required to use all functions (to use online help, web services and movie related functions including those of NX Studio, and to acquire update information.

I am trying to view the RAW files captured on my z8 in Windows, Google Drive, and Google Photos but they are coming up as corrupted/unreadable. I did install the NEF codec for Windows but they still won't open in Windows Photo Viewer, PS Express, or Picasa (file is corrupted error).
