Nikon may make some small fixes free of charge and aren't always as expensive as you fear. Alternatively take it to a friendly camera shop as you've already realised. Edit: Did you try charging the battery?
17 paź 2016 · With a cheap adapter or two, you have macro with your existing lens. Your D80 is fixable. A D3300 is nice but then it has its liabilities and it may instill the desire to buy other lenses, the cost of which may not really make your photographic results proportionately better.
There is a D80 repair manual on-line. Search for "Nikon D80 Repair Manual PDF". It has many detailed photos with step-by-step disassembly and reassembly, some explanations, and parts identification.
