Awesome game but because of the way the game is structured, I can't see myself replaying/buying this game again in the future. Highly recommend this to new players though. A much better action/rpg game than Bayonetta and it's sequel.

Unfortunately one of the biggest issues with this game is it's unabashedly itself. You get fast travel later on, you have to beat the game multiple times, people don't like gameplay changes, and as you've said the game is stylishly drab these are all barriers to finishing the game.
Depends. Overrall? Absolutely. A good character focused story? Id recommend NieR: replicant more, but if yourr looking for an ideological game, that is full of twists and turns and makes you really turn your head around on certain things? Then Nier: automata is your game.
