14 lut 2022 · Nickelodeon’s owner, ViacomCBS sent a cease and desist letter demanding that Monkey Quest Reborn essentially become Monkey Quest Rekilled. Even when the indie developers asked permission to get an official license to use the discontinued game’s assets, ViacomCBS declined.
Monkey Quest is in a very weird state. After being shutdown in 2014, almost four years later the community all of a sudden sparked into life once again. This all happened because of the new Monkey Quest community known as "Monkey Quest Rewritten".
20 mar 2021 · Two days later, on February 19th, 2021 at 6 PM EST, Monkey Quest Reborn closed indefinitely. The project's website and social media were removed and the existing Discord server transitioned into a general Monkey Quest server.
