Start Me Up is essential for my playthrough. It speeds up the general gameplay, allows for different starting locations and even adds Traits from the previous games. Now levelling feels like it matters when you run the Gifted trait.
I like Start Me Up. It lets me start in the vault without sitting through the tedious pre war stuff, and it jiggles the dialogue around so you don't need to be Shaun's dad if you don't want that. It also adds the Fo2 Traits back in, which can be kind of cheat-ey ... but then you don't have to use them.
38 different choices for occupations, each with their own starting gear and faction affiliation (If you choose a faction option that is) and each of the options have their own starting locations in different parts of the wasteland.
