To go with a 90kw torque engine is a mistake imo. The 1.6 from the yaris would be better. Like the idea of another mr2, just think the powerplant is the wrong idea.
So we have competing rumors that the GR86 will be converted to a Lexus-derived RWD platform and get the GR Corolla's engine, and we'll get a new MR2 with the GR Corolla's engine. I'd love both to be true, but it seems unlikely Toyota is going to spend that much money on two in-house budget sports cars.
