So we have competing rumors that the GR86 will be converted to a Lexus-derived RWD platform and get the GR Corolla's engine, and we'll get a new MR2 with the GR Corolla's engine. I'd love both to be true, but it seems unlikely Toyota is going to spend that much money on two in-house budget sports cars.

The rumor that it's going to be a measly 120 hp 3 cyl hybrid is depressing considering they have a new 3cyl that makes 300hp in a turbo variant. I suspect this will be too small/too slow while Toyota will say something like "its a 20k drivers car".
