Delete only .exe and .dll files in game folder, verify game files in Steam, it should redownload only missing/modified files. Check if clean 2020CE game starts from Steam before downgrade. If you do manual downgrade with XLivelessAddon run GTAIV.e xe to start the game.
My GTA IV downgraded to 1.0.7.0 used to work perfectly. Then today I decided to do a clean reinstall to remove any mods, but after the downgrade of the clean new copy, it fails to launch the game (I'm running LaunchGTAIV.exe as an administrator).
3 sty 2017 · No reason to downgrade. Game runs better with 1.0.8.0 for me. If you want the removed music, there is a downgrader just for the radio. it also keeps the bug fixes that's from 1.0.8.0. I had to retry over and over until I found out how to correctly downgrade.
