1 kwi 2015 · I have a newer .223 with a heavy barrel and extractor (not ejector) and am wondering if one of the more knowledgeable folks here could venture a guess what the twist rate might be. I seem to get conflicting information- 1:9, 1:12.
10 lut 2008 · Here's a recent thread on H&R 223 Twist rates, if you're referring to the 20" Superlight barrel, they're still 1:12" with ejectors, or were recently until Marlin makes another run of barrels when H&R runs out of that batch, all other current production 223 barrels are extractor 1:9" twist.

I bought this rifle for varmint and hog control. I mounted a Simmons 3-9X50 8 Point Rifle scope and then bore sighted and took it to the range. Don't let the low price fool you, this is an accurate rifle! I can drive tacks at 100 - 200 yards using this rifle.
I consider the Handi-Rifle an extremely safe rifle. It holds only one shot, which is a training aid when teaching young shooters. Additionally, the rifle has a transfer-bar ignition system , which means that the trigger must be pulled completely to the rear for the rifle to fire.

The Stainless Handi-Rifle features a 22" stainless steel barrel and a matching nickel-plated receiver. The stock is identical to that of the Synthetic Handi-Rifle. This is the weather resistant version of the Handi-rifle, available in calibers .223 and .243.
