17 paź 2010 · I have one that I'm very happy with. It's a blue and white herringbone with 1-button cocktail cuffs. It's quite A soft fabric which is very comfortable to wear. I'd pay £50 for a shirt there, maybe a bit more.
More attractive is New & Lingwood’s unusual items. It is one of only two places in London that still has stiff collars and shirtfronts, for example; this season it is stocking both opera capes and postal capes; there are feather-covered hats in the window; and it continues to get odd requests from customers who turn to it as a last resort.

Our Shirting Variety. As late as the early 20th century, to be seen “in shirt sleeves” without a jacket (or at least a vest) was considered a state of undress, appropriate only among family and friends. Little attention was paid to white shirts style and fit.
