Registered Nurses (RN) are renewed by the department in three groups: Group 1 – current license will expire at midnight, Eastern Standard Time, April 30, 2026. Group 2 – current license will expire at midnight, Eastern Standard Time, July 31, 2026.
Renewal requirements. To renew an LPN license in Florida, you must complete the following: Complete 24 contact hours of continuing education (CE), including 2 hours on the prevention of medical errors. Submit a renewal application through the Florida Health Department's online portal. Pay the renewal fee, currently $75 (subject to change).
