When starting a new account or adding an extra member, a profile can be transferred from an existing account, including recommendations, viewing history, My List, saved games, settings, and more. A Netflix account is meant to be shared in one household – people who live in the same location with the account owner.
Account owners can buy an extra member slot and invite people outside their household to use Netflix. See Plans and Pricing for extra member prices. An extra member will have their own profile, account, and password, but their membership will be paid for by the person who invited them to join.
