My wife and I spent many hours in the Heinz History Center on a recent visit to Pittsburgh. I was especially impressed with the "neighborhoods" sections, which not only included a Mr. Rogers area, but artifacts about the different ethnic groups that lived in Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh innovators exhibit was also fascinating.
One of the top things to do in Pittsburgh with kids is to visit the Heinz History Center, the largest history museum in Pennsylvania. It features 275,000 square feet, six floors of exhibit space, including the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, and much more interesting stuff for kids and adults!
