The light tank Mk VII (A17), also known as the Tetrarch, was a British light tank produced by Vickers-Armstrongs in the late 1930s and used during the Second World War. The Tetrarch was the latest in the line of light tanks built by the company for the British Army.
17 lut 2019 · Vickers built the A17 Light Tank Mark VII Tetrarch in 1937. It had a unique suspension which included large road wheels that could be partially skid-steered. This helped the tank to turn more efficiently. The Tetrarch, which was originally known as the Purdah, was accepted by the British Army in 1938. However it could not be produced until 1940.
