Most of the khukuri shops in thamel outsource their works to kami ko dokan which are outside ktm valley, eg: Gorkha, bhojpur, dhankuta, etc. But I guess going there won't be your option so I suggest you go to khukuri house in thamel and show them the picture they will forge it for you. It will cost you more but you won't be charged "tourist price".
Where to buy functional khukuri at good price? I want to buy a gurkha knife thats actually functional, made out of good metal, etc. not looking for those fancy decorative type knives. Recommendations where to buy one?
