IOM is running 29 different programs from proficiency certificate level to the highest postgraduate degree in medicine, public health, paramedical, nursing and traditional medicine (Ayurved Science) through 9 campuses scattered all over the country.
As of 15 August 2021, there are 24 medical institutes in Nepal whose qualifications are recognized by the Nepal Medical Council, Medical Council of India, and World Directory of Medical Schools. They are regulated by the Medical Education Commission, Nepal.
Research Department coordinates the research activities between the Dean Office of IOM, and other concerned bodies such as Institutional Review Committee (IRC), Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Maharajgunj Nursing Campus etc.
