I found this website called “Next College Student Athlete” (NCSA), supposedly the world's largest and most successful athletic recruiting network. They have a free membership, but they insisted on getting a paid one that ranges from 700$ to over 3000$.
While college athletic recruiting relies heavily on digital communication—like texting, email and social media messages— mailed college recruiting letters still play a major role. However, it can be difficult to interpret what mail from a coach really means.

It is a scam. The world is full of coaches and teams. You only need to care about contacting the ones at schools you are interested in attending. If your list is very long, do more research on the schools. You should be comfortable with a short list of acceptable schools. Send them your info.
I'm a college coach and recruiting coordinator. I don't use recruiting websites at all. If you have a profile, it won't hurt you. But I have never been sent a message from the NCSA and replied to it. You would be much better off emailing the coach directly or filling out a recruiting questionnaire.
