Navajo Nation Overview - The Navajo Nation is one of the largest tribal governments of the North American Indian Nations with a land base larger than the state of West Virginia. The Navajo Nation and is managed via agreements with the United States Congress as a sovereign Native-American Nation.
The Navajo Nation (Navajo: Naabeehó Bináhásdzo), also known as Navajoland, [ 3 ] is an Indian reservation of Navajo people in the United States. It occupies portions of northeastern Arizona, northwestern New Mexico, and southeastern Utah. The seat of government is located in Window Rock, Arizona.
The Navajo Nation Council (Navajo: Béésh bąąh dah siʼání) is the Legislative Branch of the Navajo Nation government. The council meets four times per year, with additional special sessions, at the Navajo Nation Council Chamber, which is in Window Rock, Arizona.
