Interactive periodic table with up-to-date element property data collected from authoritative sources. Look up chemical element names, symbols, atomic masses and other properties, visualize trends, or even test your elements knowledge by playing a periodic table game!
This is an interactive periodic table of the elements showing their atomic weights, atomic numbers, electron configurations, and state at room temperature.
BY SYMBOL IN AN ALPHABETICAL ORDER. You can click on the column header to sort the table by that column. Click on an element symbol to get detailed facts about the element.
The Periodic Table. If you look up an element on the periodic table, you will see the following: Or, it might simply be displayed this way: The following useful information is provided on most periodic tables: Symbol: This is often a one or two letter abbreviation for the element; for example, carbon’s symbol is C.
Elements have more than one isotope with varying numbers of neutrons. For example, the two common isotopes of carbon, 12 C and 13 C, have 6 and 7 neutrons, respectively. The abundance of each isotope depends on the source of materials. For relative abundances of isotopes in nature, see reference on Atomic Weights and Isotopic Compositions.
Periodic tables usually at least show the elements' symbols; many also provide supplementary information about the elements, either via colour-coding or as data in the cells. The above table shows the names and atomic numbers of the elements, and also their blocks, natural occurrences and standard atomic weights .
