The National Data Buoy Center's Observation Search page. It generates a list of ship, buoy, and C-MAN observations for a specific area and time period. Area can be selected by point-radius.
Historical Observation Search - Search for marine meteorological observations for prior years with user specified observation criteria. Ship Obs Report - See meteorological observations from ships for the past twelve hours. BuoyCAMs - View an interactive map of NDBC stations with BuoyCAMs installed.
The NDBC compiles coastal and offshore weather observations from NOAA fixed and drifting data buoys and C-MAN stations. Moored buoys are deployed in all U.S. coastal and offshore waters, from the western Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean around Hawaii, and from the Bering Sea to the South Pacific.
The data portal is intended to provide visual access to CoastWatch oceanographic satellite data. It can also be used as a data viewer with map controls such as pan and zoom. Layers can be viewed simultaneously and the 'data' equivalent either saved in a data cart or downloaded for local analysis.
26 sie 2021 · Buoys provide meteorological and oceanographic measurements for the marine environment. This information is made available through the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC) and this layer pulls updates direct from the NDBC hourly (at the top of the hour).
11 kwi 2023 · A new map layer in the Portal’s Data Explorer shows the locations of federal ocean observing buoys and monitoring stations that measure and record physical oceanographic and meteorological data.
