  1. 24 kwi 2014 · They work by kinda putting a second transmission behind your first one. The second tranny is run by an electric solenoid that pushes it into gear when you want to up-shift. You get up to 50 or so with your normal tranny, hit a button, and it shifts into "fourth" gear and you can continue on.

  2. 4 maj 2014 · Squirrel is right, it is an assembly and they didn't service any pieces. I used to pull the bronze rings out from abusing the transmission (that's another story). I modified a pair of snap-ring pliers to let me pull the syncro blocks out and then tap the bronze rings back in and restake them. Then re-install the blocks. Almost like a new syncro.

  6. 1 lut 2022 · The sm-318 & sm-319 are the same transmission except for the length of the mainshaft(tailshaft). Neither are syncronized in 1st gear. both are syncronized in 2nd & 3rd. the internals are the same.
