From the (equatorial) surface of Mun, it takes about 900Dv to land on Kerbin. From low Munar orbit, it takes less than 300Dv to land on Kerbin.
29 sty 2023 · You've double-counted the delta-V needed to return to Kerbin from Mun. It takes something under 600 m/s to reach orbit, and then perhaps 300 m/s to go from Mun orbit back to Kerbin's atmosphere before relying on aerobraking to slow down and land.

Use efficient engines like the LV-T45 "Swivel" Liquid Fuel Engine and the LV-909 "Terrier" Liquid Fuel Engine for vacuum.
From this prograde (counterclockwise) Mun orbit you want to line up your return. Assuming you're looking directly down on Mun in the map view, picture Mun as the center of a clock. Put Kerbin at 12-o'clock and Mun's orbit should be at 3-o'clock. You should start your prograde burn at around 1:30.
