  2. Mun Lander Stage. This is assuming typical 3 Kerbal capsule and not much else for a 4.6t payload. At least a minimum TWR of 0.7 (on Kerbin) should do fine. The lower the Total Mass, the better the engine for a given dV. Total mass of vehicle (payload+fuel+tank+engine) on the vertical. dV on the horizontal. The line jumps are from the mass of ...

  3. Go watch scott manley/matt lowne, they have really good tutorials on almost every topic, however if you want a quick and dirty guide: Step 1: get to orbit. Step 2: time warp so that the mun is just above the horizon. Step 3: face prograde. Step 4: ... g o. You need about 850-900m/s, and another 2-300 to orbit the mun.

  4. 4 lip 2024 · Mun, also known as the Mun and sometimes written as Mün, is a relatively large moon orbiting Kerbin. It can be thought of as an analogue to Earth's own moon, which frequently is simply called “the Moon” (Latin: Luna). It is gray in appearance with craters of various sizes and mountains exceeding 5029 m in height. The gravitational pull on the surface is 1.63 m/s², approximately 5/6 and 8. ...

  5. The Mun is a large moon orbiting Kerbin, and the inner moon of Kerbin. It is the larger sibling of Kerbin's other moon, Minmus. The Mun does not have an atmosphere, and has one-sixth the surface gravity of Kerbin. The surface is gray and barren, saturated in craters of various sizes. Darker-colored mare are especially prominent on the near (Kerbin-facing) side of the Mun. Due to its proximity ...

  6. Trixi Jul 28, 2017 @ 5:47pm. basically you just have to fly out of the Mun's SOI. Best way to do it, is to plan the exit in the opposite direction as the moon itself is orbiting. After that you can set your PE between 30 and 70k (i recommend about 40k to be safe, but it also depends on the vessel), so that you can airbrake and land on kerbin.

  7. Drag the dot in the center around your orbit until you have an intercept. Focus on the mun. Use the maneuver node editor and click random directions until your aproach is where you would like. Execute your maneuver node. (If needed) Create a new maneuver node partway through the transfer and go back to step 6. 1.
