Magic: The Gathering Foundations is an entry-level Magic set designed to provide a common base for both new and experienced players. It is a Standard -legal draftable booster set with additional fixed products, and will be released on November 15, 2024. Foundations is a new type of set designed to carry through multiple Standard rotations.
Setting up the play area is easy. Each player shuffles their deck and places it face down in front of them, then draws a HAND of seven cards from their LIBRARY. If a player is unhappy with their hand, they may take a MULLIGAN. Choose a way to TRACK YOUR LIFE, then decide which player goes first.
