Mont Ventoux (French: [mɔ̃ vɑ̃tu]; Provençal: Ventor) is a mountain in the Provence region of southern France, located some 20 km (12 miles) northeast of Carpentras, Vaucluse. On the north side, the mountain borders the department of Drôme.

The Mont Ventoux, the "Giant of Provence", which culminating at 1912 meters, dominates the landscape. The Mont Ventoux is a small mountain (1 912 meters high) between Massif des Baronnies and Monts du Vaucluse area. Places nearby produce excellent wine (such as the muscat of Beaumes-de-Venise). It is mostly famous for its ascension on bicycle during the famous bike race, the Tour de France, and one of the mythical places on the Tour.
