Microsoft DOS 6.22 was the last standalone version from Microsoft. It was also the last from Microsoft to run on an 8088, 8086, or 286. 6.22 adds DriveSpace, a replacement for DOS 6.20's DoubleSpace drive compression that was removed in 6.21.
11 sie 2015 · Actually, it is possible to install MS-DOS 6.22 from a single folder on a bootable CD using the original install, but there's a catch: you have to create the partition with Fdisk and format the drive first before running the setup or else it won't work (it will ask for a missing disk).

9 lip 2017 · I'm trying to create a bootable USB for MS-DOS 6.22. I can't risk using FreeDOS or any other version of DOS because I'm working with a very niche utility that has the potential to break expensive things if things are wrong. I'm using the ISO for MS-DOS 6.22 found at AllBootDisks.

17 lip 2017 · As described in this question, I used WinSetupFromUSB to successfully create a multibootable USB that could boot into MS-DOS 6.22 - as well as installers for other version of Windows - but couldn't access any of the executables I needed on the root of the USB.
