I use shotcut. it's fine, but occasionally I lust for Adobe Premiere plugins. Davinci resolve is pretty good for being free but I personally use after effects to edit which I got for free with a school account. Kdenlive and DaVinci Resolve are my go-to's.
For videos, maybe try Shotcut. I only tried it for a bit when I didn't have access to my usual editor (PowerDirector, paid; blasphemous, I know. I got a few years before I got into piracy).
